Professional Counseling Service opened in Killeen in 1973 by Warren Townsend LCSW, BCD. At the time, PCS was the only full time private counseling in Bell or Coryell Counties. Linda Townsend RN, MS, CS, LPC joined the practice in 1979 and the Copperas Cove office was opened.
In 2013 Warren and Linda Townsend semi-retired and Jeffrey D. Robbins became the president. Jeffrey D. Robbins graduated from George Williams School of Social Work in 1995. He specializes in helping people heal from trauma, moving from a state of surviving to thriving. He has expertise in helping military families cope with issues, such as deployment, loss and frequent moves.
The practice includes several therapists at both office locations providing comprehensive services to children and families in the surrounding area. Many of the therapist utilize a Christ Centered approach to therapy.
